The Overlooked Indicator of Dollar Strength.

Why Most Miss the Mark and Where You Should Really Look

The Federal Reserve and all their money-printing won’t do The Purchasing Power Of The People any good.

Of course, the dollar index is going down, but as you can see in the chart below, it’s been here before, so is it really that significant?

US Dollar Index

The truth is that it is! The Dollar Index shows the strength of the US Dollar relative to other currencies, which have also been getting weaker.

So, how do we know the ACTUAL strength of the USD?

For this, we have to look at the price of Gold in Dollars. Gold is money, but it’s not a currency that can be printed.

For this reason, the true strength of the USD is shown in the price of gold in USD.

We have been long gold for quite a while, and we are up a ton as Gold is making fresh all-time highs.

As you will now understand, it’s not something to be too excited about. These all-time highs in gold are all-time lows in the value of the US Dollar, even though the dollar index doesn’t show this.
